It is my pleasure of having a feedback from you. Before giving you any further detail about WBSSC, I would like to know whether or not are you staying in West Bengal?
If you are staying in Bengal then only you can sit in this exam.
1. The answer of your first question is that WBSSC 2009 exam has taken place already. The result of WBSSC 2009 is going to be published in March 2009. So you have to prepare yourself for the next exam which is going to be take place in December of 2010.
2. For getting all the information, you need to visit the official website of WBSSC: http://www.westbengalssc.com/
3. Certainly, no need of having a B.ED degree. Just prepare for the exam.

hi Sukomal,
Yes you can definitely sit in this exam but I would rather suggest you sit as a Botany candidate as oppose to computer science candidate because computer science is not your area of forte. Further you will not have to face tough competition in this domain. As we all know private sector is now reeling under the heat of global economic meltdown, even IIT students are opting for WBSSC because this is rather secure and the pay structure is awesome. The rest of the thing is entire up to you.

Hi Bandana,
Nice to get response from you. You are absolutely eligible for sitting from any district of West Bengal. But you need to be fluent in Bengali and I hope that you are. You have to collect form from a Malda zonal office and have to submit that in that office. You can get more information about it from http://www.westbengalssc.com/.

Well, the fact is that you need to have Bengali either as a first language or second language in your schooling. Therefore, I think you are not eligible for the post.

Dear sir,
I am Rajib. I passed B.Tech in Biomedical Engineering in the year 2008. presently i am studing M.Tech in Biomedical Engineering. i want to sit in WBSSC exam. i collect SSC form. but i can’t understand how to fillup column no 17A) particulars of higher studies (for H/PG CATEGORY) because i don’t have part-I, part-II & Part-III marks like this way. and i have CGPA marks not percentage of marks. please suggest me in which subject I should apply Biological sciences or Mathematics.

Today I am totaly confused. I have BSc Physics with Computer Science as a subject of 300 marks in Grad level. I have applied for Work Education. Am I eligible for this? Confusion arised as- Bachelor’s degree in Home Science or Agriculture or Computer Science/ Computer Application as a subject of at least 300 marks from any UGC recognized University. But this Home Sci was not writen in form. Pls clarify sir.

Bsc(Bio sc) ” 48.9% ” C.U
Passed MCA with 57.7% in 2006 from IGNOU.
Shall i sit in WBSSC exam for P.G. Teacher in Computer Application.
And what will be the Pay scale for me??

I have completed Masters in Modern History from CU in 2003. Right now my age is 30 years. I prefer my job location to be in Kolkata. I will be really obliged if yuou would kindly let me know what is the upper age limit for sitting in SSC and wherefrom can I get a good training in this field? Also I would ask for your suggestion if I can sit for WBSSC this year, and how long will be forms available for it?
